Actually, we mostly wear saree for main occasions like marriage alike silk saree or else for reception and party wears we use designer sarees.

The saree is a female garment, which is perhaps the most recognizable icon of India. It is made of an unstitched fabric that ranges from six to nine yards in span. It is most commonly paired with a blouse and tucked in at the waist on one end, wrapped around, pleated at the center and finished with the other end draped over the shoulder. The draping style varies according to the region, religion, social class and style preference, but in essence, it is an all-time wear garment that can be worn just about anywhere – to work, to a party or even to a wedding! Actually I m not good in saree draping!! Before marriage my mom used to drape saree for me. But now after marriage I can’t do it myself in a perfect manner as my mom do!
Recently, I attended my friend marriage. We friends altogether planned to wear saree. For reception designer saree and for marriage silk saree. Tat’s it I m close!!.
I can wear designer saree in a good manner, to look slim and that too in short time. But I was so frightened to wear silk saree, it ‘s hard to wear perfectly and mainly it will show me chubby.
It’s time to search, how to drape a south Indian style of saree draping. Started watching many videos and lots.In middle I was attracted my vidhya’s videos’. I was totally impressed by her saree draping videos, which I gonna share with you.
Here I gonna say how to drape a silk saree-trendy and tradition:
In saree draping, main trick is pleats. If saree pleats sets you good then surely you will look gorgeous.
First of all, for silk saree we need to take pleats.so lets check how to take pleat and how to iron them in a good manner to look perfectly sticky.
This video shows you how to take pleats and how to iron them up.here she uses steam iron, you can also use ordinary iron in medium heat.
Tip: Don’t iron silk saree often, because it wills dark up your saree color. Once you ironed your silk saree then no need of ironing next use, since it will set in it permanently.
