Back Coverage covers the rear part of panties. Based upon the panties style it can cover full back, half back or provide minimal coverage. Generally the fabric of back coverage will be same as front coverage.

Waistband is made of up elastic material. And waistband helps to adjust the panties in hip region. Generally the waistband are thin and in case of Bikinis the waistband consists of only string-like material.
Caution: If you buy tight panties then the elastic causes rashes in hips. So, while buying panties make sure the elastic material is good to any rashes in hip region.
4. Side Wings:
The side wings forms the side portion of the panties. The many function of side wings is to give support and provide proper shape to panties. In case of Thongs style panties the side wings will not be there. The fabric of side wings will be usually as that of front coverage.
5. Leg Openings:
It goes without saying the leg opening portion allows you to insert your legs. It usually comes with lace trimming or embroidery design.
6. Crotch:
The crotch helps to covers the sensitive genital region. It is usually lined with absorbent material such as cotton to keep vaginal parts hygienic.
There are also crotchless panty design where it does not cover the vagina and buttocks portion for Intimate actions.
